Session 9

The punks are at the concert of the Philarmonic Vampyres. There they meet Jane, who is working hard to make a reputation as a Fixer. She propose a job to the party: the daughter of George Rhinemeyer of Rocklin Augmentics was the last in a string of disappearances in the University District. As many of the victims, she was also a fan of the Vampyres. If the punks can find the girl (Lucy), they will be rewarded handsomely.

The punks attend the concert, but soon chaos breaks out, as gunshots are heard coming from backstage. The punks spring into action. While Bluebird makes sure the crowd leaves the hall with safely, the others begin shooting at a couple of gangers that have appeared on stage, and are attacking the Vampyres. One of the gangers is apprehended, while the other escapes. The Vampyre's manager shows up, and suggests to the punks to leave, as he will be handling the matter.

The party gets back with Jane, who seems worried about her psychology professor, since he hasn't been answering her calls. Since they're already on site, the punks decide to check it out. In the professor's office, they discover a few suspicious things.
  • A couple of gangers outfits, matching the outfits of the attackers earlier the same evening;
  • a picture of Barbara Dahl, investigative journalist for Network 5;
  • the head of Barbara Dahl's husband, well preserved under ice.
The punks contact Barbara Dahl to return the head, and they meet at the Tequila Sunrise. She reveals that her husband was investigating a human trafficking ring when he had a lethal car accident. The head was stolen from his grave. Details of his investigations can be found in a "greybox" stored inside his skull. Sada obliges immediately, and removes the device from the head. Barbara takes the device (and the head) with her, and rewards the punks.

The day after, Jane contacts the party, and gives them an address where they are supposed to meet Mr. Rhinemeyer's representative.
